About Barrowford Festival

Barrowford Festival is an established event that takes place once a year in Barrowford Municipal Park.  The festival is kindly supported annually by local business sponsors who allow the festival to go ahead due to their generous donations, sponsorship helps the festival cover costs like security, marquees, toilets, staging, PA systems, health and safety and the administration of pulling everything together.  If you are interested in supporting as a sponsor and having the opportunity to get your brand or business out to thousands of people in the local please email us at info@barrowfordfestival.com

Barrowford Festival is a family event, normally held in July every year and features a live music stage, fresh food stalls, bars, kids entertainment and activities and other fun things for the family to enjoy.  The aim of the festival is to raise money for good causes including the three schools who man our entry gates, the parish council, Pendleside Hospice and this years chosen charity MIND.  The busier the festival the more money we can raise for these good causes.

We are supported by a team of hard working and passionate volunteers who work tirelessly in the run up to the festival, on the day and also after helping clean up the park and return it to public use.  If your interested in lending a hand please contact us by emailing info@barrowfordfestival.com

THE ORGANISERS

2019 has seen a new team take the helm, handed over from the hard working Michelle Berkins the new trio of local guys plan to take the festival to new levels and ensure it becomes a fixed date in everyone’s diaries.  The trio of hard working organisers are:

Paul Dickson

Owner of Paul’s Kitchen and a resident of Barrowford, Paul is managing the food vendors, stalls and liaising with the local council to ensure all our health, safety and hygiene requirements are met.

Ryan Smith

Wedding Host and DJ and local lad, Ryan is managing the entertainment, hosting and lineup, working with our local suppliers to ensure the smooth running of the festival.  Ryan also is working closely with the festivals marketing company We Love Create.

Mark Dempsey

Hospitality General Manager at Burnley Leisure, Mark is managing the bars, Barrowford Bake Off Competition and has been the liaison with the Police, local council, licensing authorities to ensure the festival is operated in a safe and professional manner.

The trio together are called The Event Guys and also manage their Exclusive Dining Experience ‘SECRET EVENT’ a pop up dining experience like no other.  Secret Event literally is kept a secret, you buy a ticket and 7 days before the event you are sent a postcode of where you need to be on the event date.  The secret is you have no idea what your eating, where your going, what the entertainment is, anything.  So far the events have proven a huge sell out.  Watch out for the next event by visiting secretevent.co.uk
